Gallery TR1 is an exciting newly established contemporary art gallery located in the bustling town of Truro in the heart of Cornwall.

Our ethos is to support local artists and makers primarily based in Cornwall, the South West and the wider United Kingdom.

Our small, beautiful gallery has a fantastic energy and is gaining an excellent reputation attracting visitors and collectors. Truro acts as host to a string of annual celebrations and festivals and our central location close to the Cathedral ensures the gallery is at the heart.

We look for talented, authentic, professional artists who want to build a long-term working relationship. If you are an artist looking to exhibit with us, first of all take a look through our website and consider how your work compares to our existing range of artists. If you think your work would fit well with our approach but would add something new, please apply using our online form.

Artists must be available to oversee the gallery 2 days per month on a rota basis. The rent is £125 per month with no commission paid.

If you are successful you will be asked to provide the following:

• Copy of your Public Liability insurance

• Your biography.

• An explanation of your approach to your work (motivations, techniques, etc).

• Details of other galleries where you currently sell.

• The wall prices of your work.

• Reasons you feel our gallery would be right for you.

  We receive a lot of approaches from many different artists and makers, so please don’t worry if you don’t hear from us right away.
